I’m trying to set up my new roku express. I connected to my wifi and have green checks for my wireless and internet connection. But then it goes straight to an update and always fails at 48% and tell me to try again. This is my second roku and I know the internet connection is “excellent” like it would say before on the previous roku, so I don’t know why it’s failing to update and let me get through this set up process.
We recommend rebooting both your wireless router and your Roku device.
I'd also recommend trying to connect your device to an alternate network, such as a mobile hotspot, to see if you can update and setup your device. Then once the device is setup, switch back to your home wireless network.
