Roku streaming stick plus stops working

I’ve only had my streaming stick for 3 months and it has been working fine.  Today I switch over my input to the HDMI input where the roku is and it is not showing up.  I switch input ports and tried again and still there is no roku screen.  What should I do? I’ve tried the resetting everything and nothing.  Any suggestions?  Is there a customer support site (I haven’t found one yet)

thanks

Re: Roku streaming stick plus stops working

Are you using the included power supply? Or are you connecting to a USB port on the TV? The power supply is always the preferred method, so if you're using the USB on the TV for power, you may want to change that.

If you are using the power supply, is it possible to get a good look at the Stick while it's connected to the TV. It sounds as if it isn't getting power, so looking for a light might be a good idea.

Oh, and make sure that both ends of the USB cord are properly seated, both the USB micro on the Stick, and the USB A on the power supply.

Thank you for your reply-yes, I have verified that the device is powered-light is on, still not detected.

Re: Roku streaming stick plus stops working

One clarification: When you say you "switched inputs" do you mean you pulled the Roku from one HDMI port and put it in another on the TV, then cycled through the TV inputs?

Another clarification: Are you using the power supply? If the TV's USB is underpowered, it may cause the light to light, but not power the Roku. Yes, I get that it used to work, but it could go bad, just like the Roku could. Using the power supply rules this out.

Let us know.

Re: Roku streaming stick plus stops working

Yes, that is what I mean, I switched HDMI ports and cycled to the correct input.

I am using the roku power supply.  It is not plugged into a USB port, but into an outlet.

thank you

Re: Roku streaming stick plus stops working

Last thing. Do you have another TV? If so, can you try it on that device. If it doesn't work (and I expect it won't) it is probably bad and should be replaced.

Roku devices come with a 1-year warranty, so you may want to get your receipts together and start that process (once you've confirmed it doesn't work on a second TV).

Re: Roku streaming stick plus stops working

Thank you for your suggestions.  I have now tried it on all of the TVs and it doesn't work on any of them.  I will do as you suggested and contact ROKU for a replacement.

Thank you again
