Hi,

Thanks for the inquiry.

We would recommend taking a look at the Roku Channel Store online to see what channels will be available when you purchase a Roku device. You can view the Roku Channel Store online here: https://channelstore.roku.com/browse

Thanks.

thanks tell me if you can will it make any difference to what device i get? i'm looking on ebay to find a cheap unit the first go around. and i see 2 gen 3 gen and units that look like they plug into the hdmi port directly. will all these units do the same thing?

at this time the only experience i have with streaming boxes is the ones that used to get kodi but those seem to need reprogramming about everyday using kodi so i just gave up. will those boxes work with roku? and if so will they get stuff like pluto and some of the other free channels i have on my phone? i have a bunch of free tv apps on my phone. thanks.

@corvairbob

Thanks for the inquiry.

We would recommend taking a look at our most recent Roku devices on our Products page here: https://www.roku.com/products/players

Please be aware that older devices may not be supported by certain/newer channels on the Roku device.

Thanks,
Danny
