Help getting started with Roku devices, including setup, connecting your device to your TV, linking a Roku device to your account at my.roku.com/link, adding channels, subscribing to services, and more.
Along with so many, I could not receive email to activate my new Roku. All the suggestions (factory re-set, etc) did not work. So here is my stupid solution that did work:
I have more than one email address, so I went to my Roku account and changed my email to one different than the one that would not receive the activation. I went back and submitted the 2nd email to activate, and immediately received the activation email. Device activated with no trouble.
I will leave the new email for Roku for now, but I suspect I could now change back to the original email I used and be OK.
Also, change the email in your account before attempting to use the new address. Otherwise, Roku will try to set up a new account when you use the new address.
