Re: Not getting activation email

I have tried several times to activate my account - even using a different email all together, I've checked all folders but no email, I have also reset to factory settings with no success.

Re: Not getting activation email

@Marion58

Thanks for the post.

Can you please provide the serial number of your Roku device from Settings>System>About? I'll be able to assist you further from there.

Thanks,
Danny

Re: Not getting activation email

I sent you the SN last week but have not heard back from you. At this point I am going to send it back and try another streaming brand.

Re: Not getting activation email

Hey @BobFeatherstone

Thanks for the post.

We would recommend performing a factory reset on the affected device then try linking your existing Roku account once again.

Performing a factory reset using the hardware reset button

  1. On the back or bottom of each Roku device is a reset button. On some devices, there is a tactile button, while other devices have a pinhole button.
  2. If your device has a pinhole button, you will need a paperclip to perform the factory reset.
  3. Once the reset button is located and your Roku device is powered on, press and hold the reset button firmly for about 10 seconds. The indicator light or status LED will blink rapidly on most Roku devices when the factory reset is complete.

For more information, check out this Support article: How do I factory reset my Roku® streaming device?

If still no dice, reply here with the serial number/device ID of the Roku player. It can be found at the back or underneath the player itself.

All the best,
Kariza

I followed the Setup instructions and checked if I had the correct email.  I checked my email and spam folders .  I also did a factory reset.   I have not received a Account activation link

I have a new Roku Express unit.  My SN is S008211108FG

Re: Not getting activation email

Hello @TiaDiavian21

Thanks for letting us know about the issue you're experiencing.

Since you're getting ‘We can't seem to reach you by Email’ when trying to use the activation link, tap ‘Resend’ on your Roku device and another email will be sent. After a moment, look in your inbox for another message from Roku with a new activation link for you to try.

If still no luck, please reply here with the serial number/device ID of your Roku player/TV. It can be located at the back of the device itself.

Keep us updated.

All the best,
Kariza
