New roku stuck on bouncing logo screen

Just purchased a roku SE from walmart today so the kids could watch disney+. Followed all the instructions to get started. The system initially went through 4 or 5 cycles of updating software. Now it is stuck on a screen with the bouncing roku logo. I have tried to plug it into an actual wall outlet for the power source instead of the tv. I have tried the factory reset button. I have pushed home or back on the remote. Nothing happens. Really feel like I wasted my money.

Thanks for the note.

We would recommend trying to perform a factory reset on your device. Please make sure to hold down the reset button for 30 seconds regardless of what happens on the screen.

We would also recommend rebooting both your wireless router and trying to connect your device to an alternate network, such as a mobile hotspot, to see if you can setup and update your device. Then once your device is setup, connecting back to your home network.

We are returning ours. I tried rebooting our wifi, tried connecting to a wall outlet.  Nothing works.
