My new Roku Express makes us do the on screen set up every time it turns off and on

We set up our new roku express, but when it gets turned off and on again it makes us do the whole on screen set up (including activating our Roku account) for new devices all over again. It does this every time and won't remember any of our settings (including our wifi network etc). Does anyone know how to stop this?

If you're using your TV's USB port to power it, use the supplied power adapter.  If you're already doing that then take it back to where you got it.
