Link one device linked to your account before you can add a channel message
I'm attempting to add a channel on my laptop to my roku account but get the following message: You must have at least one device linked to your account before you can add a channel. I have a TCL / Roku TV along with the remote that came with it. I'm unclear as to what device needs to be connected to my Roku account and how to get past this message.
Is your Roku TV linked to your Roku account that you are trying to add the channel to? If you are still unable to add the channel to your account that has your Roku TV linked to it, please send me a private message with your Roku account email address along with the serial number of your Roku TV.

If the email address that shows under Settings->System->About is not the email address for your desired Roku account the only way to change it is to factory reset the TV and go through the setup process again. If it tells you to go to a website make sure you go to https://my.roku.com/link. Never call any phone number to set up your Roku device.
