factory reset did not work either.  no link code was displayed.  the account was setup on the roku site after receiving an email, and the device status on roku site shows that device is linked.   This is false, the device is stuck in the setup mode. No channels or anything is available.   And the modem is in the same room. This is another faulty roku device and useless support from roku.

If you have performed a factory reset on your Roku and still unable to setup and activate your device, please send me a PM with your Roku account email address, and include the serial number on the Roku device. I'll be able to assist you further from there.

Hi

Serial number on Roku site -  X00400LN01H6  (name =rcRoku Express+)
 
Serial number on Roku device - S01229AN01H6
 
MODEL# ON DEVICE - 3931x
MODEL#  showen when connected to the network(on my pc) = 3930x
Not sure why the discrepancy in numbers.
Is the Roku Express+ supposed to display a 'link code' during setup ???
Some software update was done the 1st time, but I don't remember a link code on the screen.
After the factory reset there was no software update or link code on the screen.
I did receive an email link and set up my account on roku site. Site shows device linked, but device
is always in setup mode.

They have not assisted me at all.  I have not received any response from them. I thought you are part of support.  Who at Roku will help resolve this issue?

There is no support for the Express device according to Roku.  Only for the more expensive devices.

The case number I sent you is a refund request, it is the only way I could contact someone.  I have no idea if they will do anything. Is there someone who has an answer to this issue at Roku??

Or do they not care whether their customers are satisfied or not.

What if factory reset and all other options that were given have had no effect? Just bought tv and am trying to activate but won't get past link code. Won't let me click get new code

Thanks for the post.

We recommend rebooting both your wireless router and your Roku TV.

I'd also recommend trying to connect your Roku TV to an alternate network, such as a mobile hotspot, to see if you can activate and setup your TV. Then once the TV is setup, then switch back to your home wireless network.

I also have not been able to link my Roku for the first time to my computer.  I keep getting: We are having issues processing your request, please try again later.

I've done this several times with different codes, done a factory reset and started from the beginning, but whatever link the tv gives me when I put it in my computer I get the above message.
