Help getting started with Roku devices, including setup, connecting your device to your TV, linking a Roku device to your account at my.roku.com/link, adding channels, subscribing to services, and more.
I know this has been covered here before, but I know technologies change over time..
I have a TCL 1080p Roku TV that has 3 HDMI ports.. too bad I have 5 HDMI devices.. looking on Amazon, I see lots of 3 and 4 port HDMI splitters or switches, but most have at most, a 4-star rating. I feel most comfortable with products that have at least 4.5 stars.
Any recommendations, based on what you've owned and/or returned (because it worked poorly)? Do any of these splitters or switches also include USB power ports?
Do you recommend manual switching, or auto-switching, and how does the TV decide when to switch to that device if 2 of your other HDMI ports are built into the TV?
Sorry, lots of questions..
Yeah, I got some Rokus. https://youtu.be/d1CSEeqWl10
I use a Belkin HDMI 4 port switch. It works well. I recommend one with a remote control. It does auto-switch, but such mechanisms are a bit hit and miss depending on the devices connected (especially if one is a Roku which puts out a constant signal) so a manual remote control option is best.
