Deactivate device

How do I deactivate a device that has stopped working to add a new device as to not take me over the 5 device limit?

Login to your roku account on a computer and unlink the device.  I don't think you can deactivate a device, just unlink the device.  There is no limit on the number of devices that can be linked to one account.  I have 8 Roku devices linked to one account.

@Wepper1890who told you there was a 5 device limit?  I really hope you didn't pay someone that told you that.
