@Alberto2603

Thanks for the note.

It sounds like you may have created a Roku account that isn't located in your current region. You'll want to make sure that you are using an internet connection located in the correct region when creating your account, and then create a new Roku account in the correct region.

Are you in Bolivia???

It may not be supported in Bolivia.

They know where you are through your Internet Address.

It is not a setting per se.

I'm in Ireland, account set up in Ireland everything works except Amazon Prime which seems to think I'm in the US. Why would it do that?

Hey,

I did this trick to make it work. I created my roku account from a computer in U.S because it detects according the ip address.Then, once was created, I logged in from my device in my country and I was able to download Amazon Prime.

Hope this helps for you

You can! Unfortunately you’ll have to factory reset your device, deactivate your account, and create a new one. I set up my roku using a vpn and didn’t realize it knows your region based on IP address and panicked for a minute until I realized I could essentially start over. Hope this helps someone!

@Bel

Thanks for the inquiry.

It sounds like you may have created a Roku account that isn't located in your current region. If channels in your region are not available, it may indicate that your device is linked to an account that was created in a different region where that channel may not be offered by the channel provider. You'll want to make sure that you are using an internet connection located in the correct region when creating your account. You can check your IP address' reported location by visiting www.whatismyip.com - If you see an issue, you'll need to contact your ISP to help resolve any issue.

We would recommend creating a new Roku account in your region.
