Can’t find cable signal when setting up

During set up of The new TV, it is unable to find the cable signal even though everything is plugged in and on. Does this typically indicate a problem with the cable box?

If you have a cable box you shouldn't be searching for a cable signal.  Connect the cable box to the TV with an HDMI cable and then switch the TV to the appropriate HDMI input.

If you have a cable box you shouldn't be searching for a cable signal.  Connect the cable box to the TV with an HDMI cable and then switch the TV to the appropriate HDMI input.
