Has anyone tried to use Roku in France and was it successful?
Hi @MAB48,
Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!
Good news! Roku players should work fine in any country specially that France is a Roku-supported region.

Are you asking about just taking your Roku with you when traveling from your home country to France, or when living there?
When living in France.

If you are not already in France, wait until you get there before setting your Roku up.
Your Roku operates by being linked to a Roku account you create when setting it up.
To assure you can receive everything that has been authorized for French distribution, create the Roku account while connected to an ISP located in France. Be sure you are not using a VPN that masks your location while doing this. You can do this in advance, or as part of the Roku player setup process.
If bringing in a unit that is already linked to your existing Roku account based somewhere else, perform a Factory reset on it to clear its memory of the old account before you set it up in France.
