have a rca brand roku tv tv powers down when i use my remote or sometimes when i try to restart the tv itll continue to power down. ive unplugged power source tried resetting the tv even when ive reset the tv it powers off again and im unable to access any of the menu settings because the tv powers off once a button is pressed

It could be a malfunctioning remote.  Try using the mobile app as a remote to see if it still happens.

I recently bought a Roku remote from Goodwill Outlets, but now every time I press any button, my TV shuts off instead of performing the intended action. It worked fine for the first few days, but now I can't even navigate without turning off my TV.

Possible Causes:

• The power button might be stuck or faulty.

• Infrared (IR) interference could be causing miscommunication with the TV.
