I'm setting up my new device and it gets to the updating software step, updates, restarts then takes me through the set up steps until we get to the update step, then updates again. It's done this 6 times now and just keeps circling.
It is an older device, but brand new out of the box. Will it ever stop updating?
There were some reports of people trying to set up old devices for the first time and having problems. I don't know if it was resolved. If you can use your phone as a hotspot try connecting to that just to get through the initial update. Also, if your device is one that uses a USB power supply make sure you're using the supplied adapter and not your TV's USB port.

Which device? The model number is on the box. Let us know that.
