I purchased a new Roku Streaming Stick 4K and installed 9/3/22. Setup was uneventful. All features and TV stations seem to work. However, the System Restart from the menu does not seem to be functioning correctly. When restarted, the following occurs:

• TV screen goes dark approx. 7 seconds
• TV screen then changes to all "snow" for approx. 12 seconds
• for maybe half a second the Roku dancing icon appears on screen
• Then the screen returns to the main menu

I have no idea if the restart actually occurred. Everything else works just fine.

I have unplugged Roku for 30 seconds and then restored power. I've done the same with my modem and router. No effect. Any thoughts or suggestions? Is the system actually restarting?

If you saw the Roku dancing logo/letters, it restarted.

The "dark screen" and "snow" are the results of how your TV handles no signal/syncing on the HDMI port the Roku is connected to.

The old Roku stick I replaced did not do that on the same TV. I would see the dancing Roku icon for 15-20 seconds. Perhaps the new stick is engineered a little differently.
