SUGGESTION!!! Add "LOCK/UNLOCK" feature to prevent accidental deletion of recordings

PLEASE add a "LOCK/UNLOCK" toggle to each recorded program!!! I have accidentally deleted many recorded programs, movies, etc. so having this feature would be very helpful!

Re: SUGGESTION!!! Add "LOCK/UNLOCK" feature to prevent accidental deletion of recordings

@sha_sha_gurl-

Roku TVs and streaming devices have no provisions for recording anything, no more than your tv does.  On recordable channel services, the recordings are done on the servers of those channel services. Your suggestion sounds interesting, but it would have to be implemented on each recordable channel service, not on Roku.

No Roku on this planet records anything.  Only if you subscribe to a live tv service such as YouTube TV or Hulu + Live TV can you record something. But that is all done through the cloud and has nothing to do with your Roku

Hi @sha_sha_gurl, to echo what @makaiguy and @StreamerSue mentioned, Roku doesn't offer the ability to record. It would be best to contact any of the channel providers in question directly for feature requests pertaining to them. We hope this clears things up! But please don't hesitate to reach out with any additional questions or concerns.
