So some time ago the device automatically updated and I had a new setting in Accessibility to turn off Autoplay video. I ALWAYS turn off Autoplay. It really gets on my nerves when things start playing on their own.
So I was very surprised when the Directv Stream channel started autoplaying yesterday. It fully respects my having the setting off and in fact will nag on a new profile of the need to turn it on if you want that behavior. This is part of the API that developers have to follow, it's not optional.
Imagine my surprise when I went to
Settings/Accessibility/Autoplay video
and found that it had turned itself ON. I changed it back to OFF. This happened in the last few days, I cannot say for sure but it was on or around 4/7/2025.
SO: If you thought you had turned this off from the default, which is of course "On", you may want to check it AGAIN.

@Verta Welcome!
Thanks for sharing! We understand that the autoplay feature changed independently after the update, and we're here to help out.
Try restarting the Roku device. Go to Settings > System > Power and select System Restart to see if that does the trick.
If the issue persists, please provide the following for further investigation.

Hi, thank you for replying.
I have already changed the setting back to the way I had set it before, as I said in my post. So far the setting has stayed the way I left it for a whole day, including having the tv and thus the Roku stick off and then back on again once.
But I appreciate your taking the time to give me the suggestion to perform this debugging step. Although I would not normally expect rebooting the device to change the setting to either off or on, regardless of whether I had put the setting to on or off prior to a reboot. I expect this setting and in fact, all settings to stay the way I left it.
I would also really like it if you would stop adding things to the menu on the left. I had to remove "basketball" from the menu TWICE. I do not watch basketball. I do not need to have to remove this from the menu at all, let alone removing it twice in the past month.
If you reset my Auto play video again, I will be sure to post back here with the detailed info about my device. Please don't though, I like it the way I set it.
