 my Roku approx. 3 years old,  automatically goes to VUDU, which doesn't work. will not let me access other programs(netflix, hulu etc.) I bought a new roku express 4k today... I have the same problem

Does your Roku remote have a direct access button for Vudu?  If so, is the button stuck in a depressed position?

You don't mention what model your first Roku is.  If its remote is a direct-line-of-sight infrared (IR) remote, it will also control your new Express 4K.

there is a vudu button on one of the remotes, but its not depressed I have tried both remotes...same outcome

Outside of signals from a remote, I can't conceive of anything that would make a Roku load only one channel, let alone two different Rokus.

You still haven't shared what model your first Roku is, but all Roku models except Streaming Sticks respond to the same set of IR commands.

I suspect your original remote is sending the Vudu command and both Rokus are responding to it.

Remove the batteries from the first remote and see if the problem goes away.

Thanks for your input... We held the hulu button down while roku shifted to vudu . It let us watch hulu, we continued getting messages that indicated we could shift back to vudu. We kept declining and after a couple of hours the problem stopped. We are finally back to normal.

I don't think we'll ever understand what was going on, but I'm glad you've gotten through it.
