When I change to a different channel, the loud roku voice goes on and on explaining wherei am;  i know where i am i, i just want to hear the program, not roku telling me where i am

@HughW  Go to settings, accessibility, and find screen reader.  Select off

You can also disable it by pressing the * button four times quickly. That's likely how you turned it on in the first place. But the menu setting allows completely disabling the function.

@HughW   If you want to make sure this doesn't happen again go to settings, accessibility, and shortcuts and turn off the shortcut to enable the screen reader.  Glad it worked out for you.  That screen reader is very annoying.
