I have a Roku 3 on the list of old devices that are compatible with Airplay.

I can set it up to link with my Apple device by entering the onscreen code.

When I play media from Hotstar, I can select it to Airplay to.

However, I just get a black screen or the settings one for Airplay.

Where do I view the media?

I resorted to this because I cannot find the Hotstar app or channel on my Roku even when I can find it on Google. Maybe it is not available in my country.

Ditto for Amazon Prime Video.

Any help much appreciated.

Are you able to Airplay other content from your mobile device to your Roku player?

Please be aware that channel availability/access on Roku devices will vary from region to region. A Roku device will work in any location, however, channels may not be available on your device in that location, based on each channel provider's discretion. For more information, you'd want to contact any specific channel/service provider to inquire further about whether they offer their channel/service on the Roku platform in your region.
