Requested Search Enhancement - real-time library searches on Vudu and Plex

Jump to solution

We are long-time Roku device users and huge fans. We especially love the voice search feature. We have just one enhancement request:

Please make it so that search checks the logged-in-user's Vudu and Plex libraries when searching for a title.

We'll search for a title, and if it's found to be free - and commercial-free - in 4k on one of the many services we have, we'll pick that one. If not, though, we have to check Plex to see if we already have it in our library there, and if not, check Vudu to see if we've already paid for it in our library there. Technically, the same would also apply to purchases in Amazon Video probably, though we don't bother to look there also.

This is pretty much the only enhancement needed to take our love of Roku up the final last small notch. We realize it may not be an insignificant addition, but it would make Roku completely irreplaceable for us.

@jamesdtx

Thanks for the post.

Please be aware that Roku Search will only search channels for content if the channel provider has allowed Roku to do so. For more information on having the channel show up on Roku Search, you'll want to reach out to those channel providers to inquire further.

Thanks,
Danny
