The most recent versions of the Ultra (4800/02) do support pairing a Bluetooth headset. I have successfully paired my Apple Air Pods to my 4800. Any older version of the Ultra, the answer is no.

@atc98092  I just looked up the version of my Roku. 4670x.  I guess it's time to upgrade. Thank you for the answer

Can I use a Bluetooth headset with the Roku Ultra LT 4801 from Walmart, without having to use the app, or is it only the 4800 or 4802?

I can't say for certain. To my knowledge the only difference with the 4801 is the lack of a USB port and the lost remote ping feature. So it should work the same as a 4800/02 for the BT connection.

@atc98092

I'll find out soon enough.  I ordered one today.  (Got it for $30 on a Black Friday Deal)

I was able to find a workaround if I want to use my Bluetooth headphones with my 4670x.  I paired the headphones with my LG TV, not the Roku itself.  The downside to this is I need to use the LG remote control to dismiss the popup that comes on screen when I turn on the headphones.  So it's not ideal to have to use 2 remotes to watch TV.

Alternately, use the Roku app and pair with your phone......

I paired my Apple air pods to the Ultra 4800, so Bluetooth headphones do work.

Hi,
I am able to pair the bluetooth device to my Roku 4802, but audio keeps going over the audio receiver.

Is there something else to do in order to get audio via the paired headset?

Thanks!

Check that the headphones are not connecting with another device.  Bluetooth tends to reconnect where its been connected before - like a phone or something.

You can also start playing something, press the * button on your remote, and scroll down to wireless headphones,  select your device and go right to Connect.....
