When I receive a new Roku software version, I do this:
- Force an additional software update via:
Settings > System > System update > Check now
This usually results in a bunch of channel updates. - Restart the system, just for good measure via:
Settings > System > System restart
Or for my Roku TV:
Settings > System > Power > System restart
After this, I have few or none of the problems people usually report after receiving a new Roku version.
This time, after receiving Roku 10, my TCL Roku TV needed one more restart to eliminate some problems with the Local Channels guide and Directv on HDMI 1.
