A message regarding privacy policy keeps popping up on my screen and I can’t figure out how to get rid of it
I haven't seen that, but a couple of other users have mentioned one. Usually with such a message there should be some way to accept the message or otherwise close it out. Try using the directional pad to move around in the message. You might need to scroll it down to the bottom to find the accept button.
@Cherie_ I had a brief message pop up on my Apple TV connected to a new Samsung 4K TV. Is it possible the message is from your TV and not from Roku?
