Roku has been saying for years that that hidden menu was only for internal testing and didn't actually have any effect on many(most?) channels. At least one person complained that they shouldn't have the menu if it didn't work, followed by a debate as to whether a hidden menu was really a menu…
Perhaps they finally got tired of saying that and they either hid it deeper or dropped it.
