Sound only transmits thru earplugs??  will not play via regular tv sound?   Totally no sound.   I have turned off roku as in unplugged and unplugged from wall too!!      What in the world could this be?   Help.

Do you have earbuds plugged into the remote?  You either get sound from them or sound from the TV.  You can't have both at the same time.

I do not have the earplugs in at all.   I do know that I just happened to try because of the sign in upper right.   sigh........     ty for trying to help....so disappointed........

We understand that you can only hear audio from your Roku device/TV if you connect it with earplugs. However, we would like to take a closer look into the issue.

Are you currently using a Roku TV or a Roku streaming device? Additionally, could you let us know whether you experienced this audio issue while watching a particular program or whether there is a complete lack of audio across all content?

I am using a Roku device 4670X......      This is happening on all channels but occasionally it will come in for a few seconds or 5 minutes and that is all.....just a fluke with or without earplugs.     The earplugs were only discovered from the upper right notice.   I normally never use earplugs.    I am disabled and having roku is a real Godsend to me.   I so appreciate your assistance and time.     I apologize for my lack of knowledge and tech ability.   I hope this has some answers.

Thanks for the update!

We highly suggest that you try the following:

Restart your Roku device:

1. Press Home on your Roku remote
2. Scroll and select Settings
3. Select System
4. Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.
5. Select System restart

If the issue persists, try unplugging the Roku Ultra from your TV and check whether there is audio when playing without the Roku device.
