It would be nice if Roku had some kind of notice saying that you need cable or satellite for that channel before I waste my time going upstairs and navigating to a website and putting in a code before being told I need cable or satellite. A little warning would be nice. A little popup saying "cable or satellite subscription required" would be helpful and save time

Yes. ABC. NBC. Fox. ESPN.

There are many.

Those can also be authenticated via a streaming service (YouTube TV, Hulu With Live TV, etc). But not every channel can be.
