I’m trying to Airplay (screen mirror) from a MacBook Air M1 to the Roku (Streaming Stick+ 4K) but the Roku isn’t coming up in the list of devices on the Mac. If I do the same from my Intel Mac it is working.

i can see online that people with Sony TVs are experiencing a similar issue but that’s been resolved with a Sony firmware update.

Does anyone know if there’s a Roku fix for this in the works? I’m running the latest firmware.

You didnt state your firmware version+build (important info, "latest" isnt enough).

FYI, your account profile indicates a 3800 (SS), not a 3810 (SS+)

Regardless, try these:

1) Disable & Re-enable WIFi on the Apple devices - try again

2) Restart all devices (Rokus, Apples, router/modem) - try again

3) Reset the paired devices: Settings/Apple Airplay and HomeKit/Require Code/Reset Paired Devices - try again

4) Setup HomeKit: Settings/Apple Airplay and HomeKit/Setup HomeKit - try again

5) Switch either Rokus or Apples from 5Ghz to 2.4Ghz, or from 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz - try again

6) Switch Roku's display output to 1080p - try again

Can see other devices in airplay menu, but not Roku.  I have tried:

• Disabling airplay on the Roku followed by restarting the Roku and then re-enabling airplay.  
• Resetting network.
• Rebooting MacBook.
• Toggling WiFi off/on.
• Cursing at the Roku.
• Cursing at Macbook.

Can you provide more specific information about the issue you are seeing? Which Roku model device are you using? Do you see Airplay and Homekit in Settings?

While the last two may have been emotionally satisfying/necessary, try all of the list items (there are 8).

And edit your previous post to add your Roku model # (Settings/System/About) as well.

For me to get my mac to screen share to roku required me to turn off the firewall that is running on my mac.
