AirPlay pairing but not actually showing up

My Roku TV shows up on the list of devices to pair with from my iPad, and the code pops up and everything. The screen tells me that the Roku is “Connected to Device.” My iPad screen tells me the content is now playing on the Roku (it’s the right device, right TV, etc.). However, when I try to actually play the content, the Roku screen just continues to say the device is connected, and my iPad tells me the content is still playing on the Roku.

Re: AirPlay pairing but not actually showing up

Hi @ab200,

Thank you for this post!

We acknowledge this issue you've been experiencing with AirPlay on your Roku device. We're glad to assist.

The simplest approach to getting AirPlay working again is to unplug your Roku streaming device from the power source for approximately 60 seconds and try rebooting your iPad as well. After doing so, re-launch AirPlay once more and see if there will be a difference. Also, try rebooting your router, as this may be a factor in why content does not reflect on your device.

Please keep us posted on what you find out.

Warm regards,
Janadee
