A female voice talks in the beginning of anything I watch. How do i shut it off?

some how I hit a button that turned on a ladies voice and she is robotic and tells what is going on if its a move or a program. how do I turn this off it is so annoying please and thank you to whom ever helps me. have a great day. I can be reached at [personal information removed] help ha ha

Press the * button on the remote 4 times to turn off the 'Audio Guide'.

Thanks for the update. 

Sorry to hear about the issue. We can see that the Screen reader on your Roku device settings is turned off. There are a few possible troubleshooting steps we can try to resolve the issue. Restart your device: Unplug your device from power for at least 10 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. Disable audio description on your TV, if any: If your TV has the option to turn off the audio description, try disabling it. If you've tried the above steps and are still experiencing the issue, try to reach out to the support team for the specific channels you're having trouble with.

Please edit your post and remove your email address. That's a sure way to get inundated by spam. 

In addition to hitting the * button four times quickly, you can also find the setting to control it in the Settings/Accessibility/Audio Guide menu.

If you don't want this to happen again you can disable the shortcut, which is pressing the * 4 times, go into the settings> accessibility> scroll to Shortcut> disable

Really, really bad idea to post your phone number. Remove it fast. Scammers will be all over you.

Look under settings/accessibility and turn voice guide off.

Roku is a product I would never encourage anyone to buy.  I just want the voice turned off, but it has not given me the information.  Don’t buy Roku

@Dokimos8 There's two ways that something might "talk" to you. One is an audio track that provides descriptive information for people with vision issues. That is going to be channel dependent. The other is the Voice Guide in the Roku itself. That can be toggled on/off by quickly pressing the * button four times. That's often how people activate it accidentally. It can be completely disabled by turning it off in the Settings/Accessibility/Voice Guide menu.
