stupid guestion. how do you go to a specific channel!?

I have never seen a TV where the manual acts as if live, over the air TV is an after thought! I have a Hisense 50r6e TV and they saytto come here for support. How in the h e double hockey sticks do you change chennels to a specific channel number!? I tried pressing, say 21 and pressing enter, not nothing works. How do you do this!?

As of recently my TCL Roku Tv now changes to channel entered use remote with 0-9 key pad. You don't have to hit enter, just enter the channel number which shows up in blue, and wait for to change. Ch up & down work too. It worked with my Insignia Roku Tv too.
