optical setup with roku remote

having trouble with connecting bose soundbar 300 with tcl/roku remote using OPTICAL connection. I can't seem to sync.

Using HDMI ARC seems to be so dull and muffled dialogue, Bought the best cables !!

The only way the roku tv remote will control the soundbar is by hdmi-cec, which you do not have using the optical cable. If you want to use the optical you will need an universal remote that does soundbars and roku tv's. Like the One-For-All urc-7935. P1010420 (800x600).jpg
