I was able to get the power button to turn off the tv, but does the onn soundbar turn off, or does it only go thru screensaver? seems like waste of energy

If you have the onn Roku Soundbar, should enter a sleep/low power mode after an inactivity period.  The screensaver will show as long as the TV is on.

For those that need to save even more energy, it can be unplugged from the wall when not in use.

Just as a reminder, the Power button only controls the TV. (volume and power buttons on the Roku remote are TV controls).  Pressing the Home button when finished streaming will cease all streaming activity/data usage.
