The N1000 was Roku's first streaming device. It doesn't have nearly enough horsepower to run Google's bloated Youtube channel/app. I'm not sure there was ever an official version for it, but today's version is definitely a no-go.
And since you're an admitted noob and you posted in the "Roku TV" section of the "community", you should note that Roku devices aren't known as "Roku TV" akin to "Apple TV". A "Roku TV" is an actual TV with a built-in Roku device.
