I am having the same issue, it happens with Netflix, YouTube and many other apps. Sounds like the speaker is blown out, lots of static and crackling and it sounds distorted. I have tried power cycling, resetting, etc. and nothing seems to work.

Same problem as all the above users.  Only happens on plex but I've transcoded something to different formats and it keeps randomly happening.

I'm returning it for now as it seems Roku aren't putting in the effort to fix or patch it.

I too have a Soundbar and have had it a little less than a year. It has begun cracking and buzzing as if the speakers are blown. This is happening regardless of the channel we are watching. Sometimes the sound is very muffled and then others it has a distinct buzzing sound. It is truly annoying. I have tried resetting, updating, etc. Nothing seems to help. I am see that many are getting replacements. It this an option for me to replace the unit.

My roku soundbar just started the crackling a week ago . Tried everything I found researching the internet . Nothing works . Very very disappointed as this is a 150 dollar device I've had for about 2 and a half months . Help please Roku !!!!

I received a replacement soundbar and it works perfectly! Excellent tech support from Priya. I haven’t had any issues so far. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

I barely bought this and the second something loud comes on it starts cracking and buzzing really bad. This is such a waste of money if you guys can’t trouble shoot it! I love your guy’s products and have a roku in every room, can help me please?
