Same issue. Background static and crackling. Purchased my streambar in January from Amazon. I've done a factory reset, tried a different HDMI cable, uninstalled and reinstalled apps and nothing has fixed the problem.

I chatted with roku support and they had me do a factory reset which did not help the issue so they are sending me the a new one. Could try that
