I am having a problem with my Roku 4k TV (specs below) with the audio output. The audio will start out at a normal volume, but once opening an app (any app) it suddenly drops very low. For example- if I restart the roku and the volume is 18, once I open an app I have to turn it up to around 25 for the same volume and it affects the volume outside of apps as well (i.e. home screen & menu sounds).
It looks like there was a support thread from 2024 on this issue, but there was no real solution offered beyond basic troubleshooting.
I have tried resetting the audio settings, which doesn’t fix it. I have tried restarting it which fixes it temporarily. I have also tried factory resetting the TV, which again just temporarily fixes it.
Not sure what to try next other than see if I can get the TV replaced.
Specs-
Model- 43R4AX
Hardware ID- G845X
Software version- 14.1 (up-to-date)
Device ID- S0NR448TWYUX
All audio settings are at default and I am using the TV’s speakers, no soundbar or external speakers.
