USB Port Possibly Damaged?

Uh hi... I have a very distressing question I'd like answered. A while ago I got myself a USB flash drive so that I could mount stuff to watch on it.. everything was fine till I had to plug it into the TV(a 32 inch onn. Edition Roku TV). I stupidly attempted to insert the thumb stick flash drive into it directly... Which was kinda a bit hard to do, kinda awkward. It was tough to like kinda handle it and push.. was able to get it in, THOUGHT I was being careful... But as I was pushing it in... I began to hear like crunching noises. I initially was thinking it was the USB flash drive, because I kinda had to be weirdly bending it to be able to insert it... Had a bit of a fear but dismissed it since it, well... It worked. I was actually watching what I wanted off of it. I wanted to insert more on the flash drive so I removed it... Getting it out was also kinda awkward, but everything seemed fine with the flash drive when I got it onto the computer. Also noted that the flash drive was a bit warmer than usual... When it occurred to me that the heat from the TV could possibly damage the fd. So I get out a USB cable(and I KICK myself, because that's what I SHOULD have done from the start... But.. sigh. . FIRST time handling a USB fd and all) to connect it to the TV this time after finishing mounting what I wanted on it.

It's been working fine so far.. for the most part. . . Except it APPEARS to be kinda sensitive to the touch... It seems to easily disconnect. . . And it already has randomly disconnected on me while I was watching something... Moved it around and pushed it in.... No disconnect, but it's been eating away at me. . . On grounds that the fd was just fine when getting it on the computer, it dawned on me that those crunching noises wasn't the fd... it was the USB port. . .When I had a VERY fuzzy flash back, years ago, I once heard that if a USB Port goes bad on a smart TV... Than the whole thing(the TV) slowly breaks over time... but if it manages to happen WHILE the thing is still on it(in this case the USB cord)it will like hold, and maybe not get any worse. . Am NOT sure about this though... This has been just DESTROYING me on the inside and I have to know what am in for. . .

This happened like a day ago..

So if anybody knows anything about this... Some advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading.
