As if all the other bugs going on, the ridiculous top row of involuntary go-to channels, the fact the program guide is often missing many or all "information", and now, I can't even bring up the settings!
So no adjusting the sound, brightness, timer, nothing! I click the star button, and nothing...
It will work to favorite or unfavorite a channel or movie, but no settings menu.
C'mon Rokju, can't you get this working correctly, ever??
Hi @StevenCee,
Thank you for posting here in the Roku Community!
We want to investigate this problem that you had further. Can you please provide the following information below?
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks,
The Roku Community Team
@RokuJohnB It started a few days ago, not long after the top row of channels that all back clicks now default to, appeared, and began screwing everything up! I don't need video or to draw pictures, man, I click on the * Button, and it doesn't open the settings menu. How do I make that any clearer? It does sometimes, but most often no, even when I'm on non-Roku channels, like Pandora, or Tune-in, or Netflix.
OK, today it's working. I'll see if I can string a few days in a row...

It's working now. But I still run into the issue of a show or movie suddenly starting at the very beginning, which also erases the ability to hit the back button, to return to the channel I was just watching, even when I DON'T use the star button!! You know, the shows that say "Press * to start at the beginning", but sometimes when I hit that channel just to see some of what's playing, it will act as if I hit the * button, and start from the beginning! It's incredibly frustrating, as I have to then make a bunch of navigational moves to try and just get back to where I was!! And with those tiles across the top, which now complicate navigation even more, it's become a real nightmare!
Do you not realize there are probably millions of senior (ie. not digitally gifted) citizens who are left without a clue as to how to turn on the channels they want, cause you've made this so **bleep** complicated now!
I wouldn't even want to think about how I'd try to explain negotiating Roku Live's hundreds of channels to my elderly father, he'd never remember all the twists and turns now required. THINK ABOUT YOUR USERS!!!! If they leave cause they can't figure out how to use Roku, you'll be losing many, many customers....
