TV crashes on startup, makes high pitched electrical noise when turned off

When my tv is off, it makes a squealing, tinny, high pitched electrical sounding noise that sounds like it's coming from the back of the tv. I have tried plugging the tv into multiple different outlets, as well as tried to power it through a surge protector and also just straight into the wall outlet.

Additionally, when I power on the tv, it has a lot of trouble starting up and getting to the home screen. It crashes multiple times on startup every time I power on the tv.

I got this tv as a gift like 2 months ago and I'm concerned cust support won't help me because I don't have proof of purchase. Does anyone have any ideas?

@erinobrien226

Thanks for the post.

The issue you are experiencing may be related to a hardware issue. Have you tried contacting your Roku TV manufacturer support yet to inquire further? I'd suggest starting there to see what options or suggestions they can provide. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support for their products running the Roku OS.

You can reach them here: Contacting Support for Your Roku TV

Thanks,
