TV Reboots when older NTSC 4:3 resolution show is selected in multiple apps

When I select a show that is filmed in the older NTSC 4:3 format (square screen) like Babylon 5 or Seaquest DSV, the TV pauses like it is loading, then reboots in the same manner as when system restart is selected under the power menu, resulting in returning to the home screen when the cycle is complete. This happens with the Roku Channel as well as with the HBO App. This is a TCL Roku TV 6110X model 55UP120, software version 11.0.0, build 4193-22.
