TCL Roku not playing Youtube

Jump to solution

We have a TCL roku TV that we got in November 2019. All of a sudden about a month ago it stopped playing YouTube. We've reset the TV, deleted YouTube and added it back, did a complete reset from the back of the TV etc. It keeps displaying the message "The channel did not launch, please try again later." We are able to watch it on all our other TCL Roku TV's but not this one. Any advice?

@Ihrig6

Thanks for the post.

For clarification, have you made sure to remove the channel from your Roku TV, restart the TV then try adding the channel back again?

If the issue remains unresolved, I'd recommend reaching out to Youtube directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they'll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on the Youtube channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel. In these cases, the channel provider will need to investigate the issue in order to help resolve it.

Thanks,
Danny
