@lauram Thanks for reaching out. This sounds like something that you'll need to get in touch with your Roku TV manufacturer for more help with. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support for their products to assist you. You can locate their contact information here.
It's possible that you may have encountered a hardware issue, or there may be another factor at play. I'd also recommend making sure no one has activated private listening via the Roku mobile app (by selecting the headphones icon that displays on the Remote control tab of the mobile app).
Your Roku TV manufacturer should be able to continue assisting you from there!
Thanks,
Tanner
Thanks, but I found the solution on YouTube! This reset, just like with my NES, worked like a charm.

my mom just had a similar issue with sound not working in her TCL roku. she eventually just shut off the power strip, then turned it back on, and sound came back
Ironically I have the exact opposite fix I have to do. I had it set to "off" and all of a sudden (after over a year) no sound. I finally realized is I turned it to "leveling" or "night" sounds comes back on. Every time a new program starts I have to go in and cycle through to "off" and then to "leveling" or "night"
Go into settings on tv and restart system. In the future make sure you unlink phone from such app as YouTube or Hulu etc.
Click Options, select Volume mode and make sure Leveling is off. That fixed this problem for me.
I have been searching for an answer all day, and came across your post...worked like a dream!!!!
Thank you so much.

Thanks for the notes here.
- What specific source are you watching when you encounter this issue? Are you watching a streaming channel or an HDMI input device? What streaming channel or device are you watching?
- What is an example content title in that specific streaming channel or HDMI input source?
- In Settings>Audio>S/PDIF and ARC, what is the current setting selected?
- Do you have an A/V receiver connected to your TV? If so, what is the make/model of that receiver?
- Have you contacted your Roku TV manufacturer to report the issue and request additional help? If not, this is where you'll want to start.
We can help pass this information along to the team to take a closer look.
Thanks,
Tanner
