I started having same issues when I switched to Xfinity from AT&T. I just talked to TCL support and they suggested calling Comcast to have the router setting changed from AES to TKIB and disable MAC filtering. I spent 98 minutes on the line with Comcast. Tech support referred me to "escalation dept" which after 45 said they could not make changes to the router from "their end" (which I have no idea what it means). Then they would switch me to "gateway support dept." But after 15 minutes the agent said he could not get a hold of them and someone from that dept. would call me in about an hour! I am not holding my breath.
his fix was for what i think was an insignia brand...but the issue was the same...i just soldered about a foot of thick copper wire directly to the wifi chip/board labelled as wm03 and current uptimes is 1 day 10 hours without a reboot and wifi connects every time.
seems like a design flaw where they didn't properly ground the wifi chip.
Hello, I bought a New TCL Roku Tv. I am unable to connect to my wifi. I have tried to restart my tv twice, up-plugged my Tv and let it sit for 2 mins before plugging back in. I restarted my Internet Modem Twice Unplugged that and let it sit. So I went to tvupdate.roku.com to do a manual update to use a USB thumb drive to update the website is unable to find my Model Number or Serial Number. Can anyone please help me, I have sent an email to Roku about this as well. I have looked online and even asked on Facebook, I have not hooked up an ethernet cable yet. That is my next plan, but I have to cut off and make a Long cable. I have not wired up this house yet.
Model: 50S421 Serial: X00000YL9F1T
I forget I had a wifi bridge that I can use an ethernet cable with to bridge it, all updated. But still have to wire the house with CAT6. I am a happy geek again, I forgot I had it see that's also why I keep everything
