Hi,

I have a 49S405, I have a soundbar that uses ARC, it's great. I'm trying to add a sub into the mix, the soundbar doesn't have an out or anything. I'm trying to use the optical connection , but the TV won't output sound onto there when something is connected to ARC.
Is there any way for the TV to output multiple sources?

Is there a way to extract audio from HDMI without disrupting ARC?

It is not going to be possible to hook up your sub. You will need a soundbar with a sub out connector or one that is packaged with a wireless sub. Or go with an A/V receiver.
