TCL 32S305 loses USB ethernet connection, needs restart.

USB ethernet adapter works following system restart but is not recognized when TV is off and is turned back on. This behavior occurs with multiple USB ethernet adapters, with and without a powered hub.

Please advise correct setup for USB ethernet adapter to be recognized when TV is turned on without requiring a system restart every time.

Gave up and added a wireless bridge right next to TV.  Seems crazy to go wireless right at an ethernet terminal to connect a TV, but it works.

Can someone from Roku please reply with a fix to this? Or escalate this problem to engineering? 

This is obviously a sore spot for may customers.

I am having the same problem.  I got several of the USB to Ethernet adapters to work... initially.  Including the USB2-E100 and even some USB 3 to Ethernet adaptors.  However, once the TV has been off for more than a few minutes, when it is turned on, the Ethernet connection is lost and the TV needs another "Restart" to get connected again.  While the TV is off and when it disconnected, the network activity lights on the adaptor are on and blinking so I do not think the adaptor shutting down.  I have tried changing various settings on the TV (Power saving, bandwidth saving settings, fast start, etc.) with no luck.  Smiley Sad

I have the same problem. Still no response from Roku??? Very frustrating!

Just had two calls with TCL support and after many reboots, etc, they finally said they don't recommend this set-up and it won't work. Guess I will be returning this TV. Bummer since I had it installed so nicely!
