Evening all, new Roku forum poster and Streambar user.
Have a couple of Roku sticks on Panasonic TV's. Happy user. Just took a Streambar and works 100% on the Pana .... the Pana remote control volume on Streambar perfectly while switching the TV speakers off
Then tried it on a Samsung UE40KU6400U.
Works nicely but the Samsung remote does not control the Streambar +/- volume ... it drives the TV sound only. And of course we get a small/short sound time lag.
Same settings (on the Streambar) work with the Panasonic very nicely.
Should say it's HDMI connected but using the optical for audio on both.
Hoping a more skilled user can guide me what to connect/set to get the Samsung controlling the Streambar audio O/P rather than TV speakers.
Many thanks in advance
The reason streambar remote and the tv remote control the other device is by hdmi-cec, so the panasonic recognizes the streambar as a cec device. You samsung might not have cec feature, or its not turned on, or you haven't refreshed the cec devices connected to the samsung by going into tv menu. Samsung calls cec, Anynet+.

Hi Edmund, yes I read about this and have optioned the Anynet+ CEC to on but still nothing.
Is it the case that it's worth to reboot the TV and streambar? And should the streambar use a specific HDMI channel eg the one with ARC?
Whilst I optioned the Anynet+ on, I did not reset any of the boxes.
I also have two other HDMI connected devices connected top the Samsung. They are working fine but not making calls for CEC etc ... one is a Freesat box (a new gen one) and the other an HDMI switch with an old DVD unit, a Portal and a CCTV system on it. Also working fine.
Thanks for the help
