Installed new Streambar ... install went good, connected to strong wifi, software update ... all good.

After power off, have to go thru wireless connection procedure, have it fail to connect, then select 'restart roku' , after restart, it connects fine to wifi.  Then power off for evening, next day have to go thru connection and restart ... this happens each time when power off.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you please clarify the issue you are experiencing? When you state you are powering the off the device, are you unplugging the device? Roku devices in general do not have a power on/off option as they are intended to stay in stand-by mode. Can you please tell us the exact steps you are taking when you are powering off the device?

?what? it has a power off button on the remote ... the next day I want to watch, i push the power off button, then have to go thru the 'restart' procedure to get it back online ...

The power button on the remote is strictly for TV's, Roku don't have power commands.
